The FMC Chenin Blanc from the Winery Ken Forrester is definitely one of the top Chenin Blancs from South Africa and easily rivals the best white wines in the world. This Chenin Blanc finally puts South Africa on the map even for 'New World critics'.
The pure FMC Chenin Blanc is, despite its elegance, full-bodied and powerful. The wide range of flavor notes spans from dried apricot and vanilla to honey.
Only the very best grapes from the Winery are used to produce this white wine. The grapes were picked and sorted exclusively by hand at optimal ripeness. Fermentation in the cellar then takes place using only naturally occurring, "wild yeast" in 400-liter oak barrels.
Afterwards the FMC Chenin Blanc from the Winery Ken Forrester spends a further 12 months in French barrique.
