Glen Carlou produces a variety of wines including first-class red wines such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Pinot Noir as well outstanding white wines like Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. Each wine reflects the characteristics of the terroir and displays impressive balance, depth and elegance.

Winemaker: Johnnie Calitz
After studying viticulture at the University of Stellenbosch, which he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in 2004, he worked as Winemaker in the of Glen Carlou neighboring Winery Anura and received several awards for his wines. Johnny Calitz prefers to work with the grape varieties Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Sauvignon Blanc, but regardless of the grape variety, he follows the approach to intervene in the process as little as possible.

The Glen Carlou Little Classic is a tempting red wine that will be a delight at every tasting story told. When poured, his drops immediately deep red color that arouses anticipation. When you raise your glass to your nose, you will be struck by the intense aromas of juicy plum flattered, followed by ripe black currants, the one seductive sweetness conjure up in the air. One subtle note of mint rounds off the bouquet and gives the wine a refreshing dimension.

But what exactly is a cuvée?
Fundamentally, cuvée means the blending of wine from different grape varieties in a fermentation vessel. Also, blending grapes from different vineyards results in a wine being referred to as a cuvée. There are essentially two different times at which different vineyards and grape varieties can be blended.
Some winemakers mix the grapes during pressing. This results in the mixed grapes fermenting together in the fermentation vessel. However, more commonly, post-fermentation blending is used. Here, already fermented wines are blended together to mature collectively during storage.

Zudem liefern wir frachtkostenfrei ab 120€ innerhalb Deutschlands. Des weiteren musst Du Dich nicht mit dem Paketdienst abstimmen und sicherstellen, dass jemand da ist, sobald die Lieferung eintrifft.
Wenn Du keine Möglichkeit hast, die Ware zu Freunden ins Grenzgebiet liefern zu lassen, dann können wir den Wein in einen UPS Access Point in Grenznähe nahe zu Deinem Wohnort liefern lassen. Du brauchst Dich nicht zu registrieren, es entstehen keine weiteren Kosten und Du musst nur Deine Weine innerhalb eines gewissen Zeitrahmens dort abholen.
