Right of withdrawal

The withdrawal period is 14 days from the day on which you, or a third party named by you who is not the carrier, took possession of the goods.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you may use the withdrawal function provided in our online shop or inform us of your decision to withdraw from this contract by means of an unequivocal statement, for example by email or post.

You may also use the model withdrawal form for this purpose. However, its use is not mandatory.

To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send the notification of your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the 14-day withdrawal period expires.

After exercising your right of withdrawal, you must return the goods to us without undue delay and no later than 14 days after your withdrawal.

Please package the goods carefully to ensure that they are adequately protected during return transit.

You are only liable for any loss in value of the goods if this loss in value is attributable to handling of the goods that was not necessary to assess their condition, properties and functionality.

Consequences of withdrawal

If you withdraw from this contract, we will refund all payments we have received from you, including the cost of the least expensive standard delivery offered by us.

Additional costs incurred because you chose a delivery option other than the least expensive standard delivery offered by us will not be refunded.

The refund will be issued without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the day on which we received your cancellation.

However, we may withhold the refund until we have received the goods or until you have provided proof that you have returned the goods—whichever occurs earlier.

As a general rule, we will use the same payment method for the refund that you used for the original order. We will not charge any fees for the refund.

Damaged or incorrectly delivered goods

If an item is damaged, missing or you have received an incorrect item, please contact us at orders@the-winestore.com .

If possible, please send us your order number along with photos of the affected goods and the shipping packaging.

Exceptions to the right of cancellation

The right of cancellation does not apply to goods for which a statutory exclusion of the right of cancellation applies. This applies in particular to goods that can spoil quickly or whose expiry date would quickly be exceeded, as well as goods that are made to the customer’s specifications or clearly tailored to personal needs.

This does not affect your statutory warranty rights in the event of defective goods.
