Stellenzicht

The Winery Stellenzicht has a rich history dating back to 1692 . Originally known as Rustenburg, it was later renamed. Since the early 1990s, Stellenzicht has been one of the top wineries in the Cape Winelands, known for its “In Pursuit of Balance” philosophy.

Winemaker Guy Webber has enjoyed particular success with his Shiraz wines , including a gold medal for the 2008 Golden Triangle Shiraz. The wines pay tribute to nature, place and craftsmanship. The dragonfly in the logo symbolises purity and vitality.

Located in the Golden Triangle of the wine region Stellenbosch, on the slopes of Helderberg Mountain, the vineyards benefit from diverse microclimates. Stellenzicht is a dedicated guardian of healthy ecosystems, reflected in its nature-friendly farming practices.

Depending on the wine's origin and how it is made at the winery, grapes of the Syrah or Shiraz variety produce two distinct styles. They differ significantly in both aroma and taste.

Die Shiraz wines have a very full-bodied, fruit-forward flavour, with aromas of cherries and plums. Aromas of dark Chocolate are also typical of Shiraz wines.

Die Syrah wines have a comparatively lighter and more elegant character. Syrah wines are also distinguished by their spicy flavour. Syrah wines often feature subtle oak notes and typical aromas such as cloves, cinnamon, pepper, forest floor or leather.

Both wine styles are distinguished by complex aromas and a vibrant character.
