Tiraki

The Winery Tiraki was founded in 2020 in the Marlborough region of New Zealand. The name “Tiraki,” meaning “clearing of the sky” in Māori, honours the Hammond family’s Māori heritage, which spans more than 150 years, and the region’s unique climate.

Under the guidance of Winemaker Josh Hammond , Winery Tiraki elegant wines are crafted that reflect the purity and vibrancy of Marlborough’s terroir. These include the classic Tiraki Sauvignon Blanc and the expressive Tiraki Pinot Noir. The Hammond family, based at Longfield Farm since 1870, combines traditional knowledge with modern innovation.

As New Zealand’s first B Corp-certified wine brand , Tiraki is a pioneer in sustainability. The vineyards are farmed organically, eco-friendly packaging is used, and 2% of revenue goes towards biodiversity programmes. The South African Sauvignon Blanc offers an interesting flavour contrast.
