Let's start with a difficult topic: the Opening hours of the wineries in South Africa. Like Clarissa us in last interview As has been reported, it is not that easy to enjoy a fine drop of wine at the idyllic wineries around the Western Cape region, even at a late hour. Most wineries are closing the gate to liquid pleasure aka. Wine tasting at 5 p.m. For many wine lovers among you, including us, this is too early to do a quick wine tasting after a relaxing day at the beach. So we present to you 5 wineries that are also open after 5 p.m. for wine tasting.
DELAIRE GRAFF (21:00 UHR):
Delaire Graff is located in the center of the Stellenbosch wine region and was purchased in 1982 by the famous wine critic John Platter. He bought that Winery at that time under the name “Avontuur”. But he then renamed it “Delaire” because of the stunning view – which means something like “from heaven”.
Then later in 2003 Laurence Graff bought it Winery and transformed it into an oasis for elegant wines.
The fine cuisine in two restaurants spoils the guests at the highest culinary level.

As the name suggests, Constantia Glen is located in the oldest wine region in South Africa, with a wine-growing tradition that dates back to 1685. The selection is kept small with four wines, which means that the focus can be placed on these few wines.

BARTINNEY BOUTIQUE WINERY (FRIDAYS UNTIL 8 PM):
Bartinney is located on the dramatic beginning of the hills of Mount Botmaskop near the Helshoogte Pass in Stellenbosch. From here you can easily see the breathtaking Banhoek Valley. It was founded in 1912 Winery Bartinney owned by the Jordaan family since 1953. Now it is Michael and Rose Jordaan's job to look after the 28 hectare small farm. And they do it brilliantly. The two keep their promises to produce excellent wines while reviving the charm of the historic country.
