Cape Point Vineyards enjoys one of the most spectacular locations in the wine world. Situated on the Cape Peninsula in Noordhoek, the vineyards are surrounded by two oceans: the Atlantic to the west and False Bay to the east. This unique terroir creates an exceptionally cool climate with constant sea breezes. These conditions are ideal for producing grapes with intense fruit, vibrant acidity, and a distinctive mineral note. The decomposed granite soils further contribute to the complexity and elegance of the wines. Cape Point Vineyards is a true gem of the Cape Town wine region and a prime example of cool-climate viticulture.
Wine Lines in our Assortment
Our assortment from Cape Point Vineyards focuses on the winery's strengths. At the forefront is the Sauvignon Blanc, the epitome of its terroir. In our shop, you'll find both the classic Sauvignon Blanc and the sophisticated Sauvignon Blanc Reserve, which offers even more depth and structure. Another highlight is 'Isliedh', an elegant Bordeaux-style blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon. For Chardonnay lovers, the winery offers an equally impressive version shaped by the cool climate. Our selection is rounded off by a red Bordeaux blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, proving that the cool terroir can also produce excellent red wines.
Food Pairing
The fresh, mineral-driven white wines from Cape Point Vineyards are destined to accompany seafood. A Sauvignon Blanc pairs perfectly with oysters, grilled fish, prawns, or light salads with goat cheese. The Chardonnay harmonises wonderfully with roasted chicken, creamy pasta dishes, or richer fish. The red blend complements robust dishes like grilled steak, rack of lamb, or hearty stews.
