Winery Dieu Donné
Winery Dieu Donné
The winery Dieu Donné is located high on the steep, southwest-facing slopes of the Franschhoek mountains. This unique location benefits from a cool climate and, in combination with the rocky soils of weathered granite, creates a unique terroir that is ideal for viticulture. These conditions ensure that the vines do not grow excessively and only produce highly concentrated grapes in small quantities, which can be found exclusively at the Dieu Donné winery. "Dieu Donné" literally means "A Gift from God". The winery’s spectacular mountain scenery only reinforces this translation.

Winemaker: Gregory Siebrits
Gregory Siebrits, who has been with Dieu Donné since 1998, presents a collection of “easy-drinking” white and rosé wines in a modern style, as well as red wines in a more old-fashioned style that can easily compete with red wines from other renowned wine regions such as Bordeaux in France. Greg’s approach is to make wines that can be enjoyed by both inexperienced and experienced wine lovers. He wants every wine he produces to reflect the farm’s terroir. His motto is to feel content at the end of each workday.
