Leopard's Leap Winery in the sun-drenched Franschhoek wine region is known for its approachable quality wines and family-friendly atmosphere. The estate combines winemaking with culinary experiences and places great importance on sustainability to preserve the natural beauty of the Cape.
The endangered Cape leopard serves as its namesake and symbol, and the estate actively supports its protection. Its philosophy of promoting “a life well lived” is reflected in the quality of its products.
The main grape varieties are fresh South African Chenin Blanc and distinctive South African Pinotage.
Tasting Note
The Leopard's Leap Shiraz from South Africa's Franschhoek region impresses with lively aromas of blackcurrants and blackberries, complemented by vanilla and cinnamon. On the palate, dark fruit flavours mingle harmoniously with subtle oak spice notes, supported by a well-structured tannin structure, leading to a long finish.
