Hamilton Russell Winery

In 1991, Hamilton Russell took over his parents’ winery near the fishing village of Hermanus at the Cape of Good Hope. Since then, he has produced high-quality wines from carefully selected grapes, with an experimental and inquisitive approach. Hamilton Russell Wineyards is one of the southernmost wineries in Africa. The winery pioneered winegrowing in the cool, maritime Hemel-en-Aarde Valley region, located behind the old fishing village of Hermanus. It specialises in producing highly individual, terroir-driven Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Hamilton Russell Vineyards is therefore considered one of the finest wineries in South Africa and the New World.
