Grape Variety Semillon
Semillon originally comes from Bordeaux and produces aromatic white wines with a fine texture. Typical are aromas of lemon, lime zest, yellow apple, white flowers, ripe notes of honey, wax, and a hint of lanolin. In stainless steel tanks, Semillon shows a clear, citrus freshness. With barrel fermentation and aging, it gains creaminess, spice, and length. Often paired with Sauvignon Blanc, but in Stellenbosch also exciting as a single variety with very good aging potential.
