Leopards Leap Family Vineyards
Winery Leopard's Leap in the sun-drenched Franschhoek wine region is known for its approachable quality wines and family-friendly atmosphere. The estate combines winemaking with food, and places great importance on sustainability to preserve the natural beauty of the Cape province.
As the namesake and symbol, the critically endangered Cape leopard is featured, and its protection is actively supported. The philosophy of promoting a “worthy life” is reflected in the quality of the wines.
The main grape varieties are the fresh Chenin Blanc from South Africa and the characteristic Pinotage from South Africa.
Translation missing: en.Tasting notes
The Leopard's Leap Chardonnay Unwooded presents itself clear and fresh with a lively expression. On the nose, fragrant aromas of lemon peel, green apples, and a light floral note reminiscent of white blossoms unfold. On the palate, it is crisp and juicy, with a well balanced acidity that emphasizes the fruity notes of melon and peach. This Chardonnay is a pure, uncomplicated pleasure that excellently showcases its freshness and purity without the influence of oak.

Chardonnay
Chardonnay is one of the world's best-known and most versatile white grape varieties, distinguished by its remarkable adaptability to different climates and soils. In the glass, it often appears a brilliant yellow with golden highlights. Its flavour profile ranges from fresh notes of green apple, citrus fruit and mineral hints in cooler regions to more opulent aromas of tropical fruit, hazelnut and vanilla when matured in oak in warmer growing regions.
Chardonnay's structure can range from lean and refreshingly lively to full-bodied and creamy and supple , often accompanied by moderate to pronounced acidity. It is cultivated in almost all wine-producing countries worldwide, from Burgundy through California to Australia.
This grape variety is an excellent companion to a wide range of dishes, including fish, poultry and white meat, and adapts perfectly depending on the style.
