Marisco Vineyards
The family-owned winery Marisco Vineyards is deeply rooted in the famous New Zealand wine region of Marlborough. Led by Brent and Rosemary Marris, whose family has lived there for generations, it produces wines that reflect the diversity and character of Marlborough’s subregions. Their aim is to create a lasting family legacy distinguished by authenticity and terroir expression.
Marisco Vineyards is considered one of New Zealand’s most successful wineries and has been widely recognisednationally and internationally for its outstanding wines. Today, it is a multigenerational family business in which the Marris family’s daughters also play an active role. The winery’s philosophy combines regional heritage with modern precision.
With five different vineyards in Marlborough , the winery produces wines that highlight the unique characteristics of each site. The family winemakers’ signature grape varieties are Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Well-known brands include The Ned, Leefield Station and Fernlands, with the The Ned Pinot Gris 2024 particularly named among Wine Spectator’s Top 100 Wines of 2025. Tasting Note
Marisco Vineyards Leefield Station Pinot Noir Rosé is an elegant rosé wine made from carefully selected Pinot Noir grapes, vinified with great care at the historic Marisco Vineyards in New Zealand. It combines freshness and finesse in a modern, easy-drinking style.
On the nose, the Leefield Station Rosé reveals delicate floral aromas, underscored by wild berries and exotic notes of pink guava. On the palate, an elegant interplay of strawberries and rose aromas unfolds, supported by a fine-grained, juicy acidity that gives the wine a long, focused finish.

Pinot Noir
The Pinot Noir, also known as Spätburgunder, is one of the world’s noblest and most demanding red wine grape varieties. It is distinguished by its pale ruby-red to brick-red colour . The bouquet is complex, with aromas of red berries such as cherry, raspberry and strawberry, often complemented by spicy notes, earthy tones or hints of forest floor with age. The wines are generally elegant, medium-bodied wines , but they can also be powerful and complex.
Typical growing regions include the French Burgundy, as well as Germany, Oregon, California and South Africa, all of which produce outstanding Pinot Noir. Styles range from fruit-forward and fresh to complex and mature, often refined through barrel ageing, which can contribute notes of vanilla or roasted coffee.
Pinot Noir offers a fine balance of fruit and acidity and is a versatile food pairing choice. It pairs well with poultry, mushroom dishes, white meat and mild cheese.
