Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz
This cuvée brings together the firm structure of Cabernet Sauvignon with the spicy richness of Shiraz. Cabernet Sauvignon often contributes blackcurrant, bright acidity and firm tannins; Shiraz adds dark berries, body and tannins that often feel softer. The result is usually a powerful red wine whose abundance of fruit is shaped by acidity and tannins. The tannin structure of both varieties, combined with sufficient acidity and fruit concentration, can support extended ageing. pepper, Körper und oft geschmeidiger wirkendes Tannin.
The blend is particularly well established in Australiaand is also produced in South Africa . In the glass, it typically shows a deep ruby-red to purple hue. Depending on the climate and ageing, its style ranges from juicy and fruit-forward to dense, spicy and oak-driven; with age, notes of tobacco and leather can develop. It pairs well with pan-fried or braised meat, as well as spiced vegetable dishes.
