Translation missing: en.Tasting notes
The Chardonnay 2025 from the Winery Toitskloof is characterized by a balanced complexity as well as intense fruit aromas. On the nose and palate, pronounced fresh citrus notes as well as aromas of dried peach and lime appear. A long and elegant aftertaste is supported by a gentle acidity and vanilla.
The barrels made of French oak, which were treated with the water bending method, prepare the oak wood for toasting in such a way that a softer mouthfeel arises when tasting the Chardonnay from Du Toitskloof.

Chardonnay
Chardonnay is one of the world's best-known and most versatile white grape varieties, distinguished by its remarkable adaptability to different climates and soils. In the glass, it often appears a brilliant yellow with golden highlights. Its flavour profile ranges from fresh notes of green apple, citrus fruit and mineral hints in cooler regions to more opulent aromas of tropical fruit, hazelnut and vanilla when matured in oak in warmer growing regions.
Chardonnay's structure can range from lean and refreshingly lively to full-bodied and creamy and supple , often accompanied by moderate to pronounced acidity. It is cultivated in almost all wine-producing countries worldwide, from Burgundy through California to Australia.
This grape variety is an excellent companion to a wide range of dishes, including fish, poultry and white meat, and adapts perfectly depending on the style.
