Translation missing: en.Tasting notes
The Petit Pinotage from Ken Forrester is a wonderfully juicy and lively red wine with classic South African Pinotage character. This approachable, fruit-forward wine is ideal for everyday drinking and charms with its inviting style.
The nose reveals intense aromas of spicy mulberries, plum pudding and ripe cherries. The palate remains pleasantly soft, with gentle tannins and plenty of drinkability.
The Petit Pinotage was vinified in stainless steel tanks to preserve its fresh fruit. Short maceration times keep the wine approachable and harmonious - ideal for easy enjoyment or sharing with friends.

Pinotage
Pinotage has a distinctive, usually bold character, with aromas of dark berries, plums and cherries, often complemented by spicy or earthy notes. In the glass, this red wine is typically deep ruby to purple in colour. Usually moderate acidity and perceptible tannins, which can be supple or pronounced depending on how it is aged, tannin give the fruit structure and backbone.
Its principal home is South Africa, particularly regions such as Stellenbosch, Paarl and Swartland. Styles range from juicy, fruity and approachable wines to concentrated, full-bodied versions with ageing potential. Aged in wood, the wine can develop toasty aromas and hints of coffee, cocoa or smoke, though these do not define every Pinotage.
Fruit-forward styles tend to be more direct and lively, while more robustly aged versions are denser and spicier. They pair well with pan-fried or grilled meat, hearty vegetable dishes and mature cheese.
