In addition to winemaking, Morgenster Estate is also known internationally for the outstanding quality of its olive oil, which regularly receives awards. Olive oil production plays a similarly important role as wine.

The Vermentino 2021 from Winery Morgenster has a complex variation of fruit and minerality, which makes it unique. On the palate, it is very aromatic and refreshing.
Vermentino's aromatic flavor profile includes elegant notes of fresh pineapple and pink grapefruit, with subtle hints of citrus peel and nutmeg on the nose.

Vermentino
Vermentino is a white grape variety with a Mediterranean character. Typical aromas include citrus fruits, green apple and white flowers, often accompanied by herbs and a subtle almond note. Usually fresh but not sharp, acidity carries the fruit; depending on its origin and ageing, the wine can be lean to smooth. Tannins generally remain subtle, while a slightly bitter note may appear on the finish.
The variety is particularly widespread in Sardinia and Corsica, in Liguria and Tuscany and in southern France. Its style ranges from light and straightforward to fuller-bodied, creamier wines, for example through extended lees contact. A salty impression is also often perceived.
In the glass, Vermentino is usually pale straw yellow, occasionally with greenish reflections. It pairs effortlessly with fish, seafood, vegetable dishes and mild appetisers.
Ratings
Sehr gelungener Wein!
