Kanonkop

The Winery Kanonkop is regarded as one of South Africa’s most prestigious wineries and is often described as the country’s “First Growth.” It is especially renowned for its outstanding Pinotage-wines and elegant Bordeaux-style blends. The name Kanonkop comes from a cannon on the Simonsberg, once used to signal the arrival of ships in Table Bay.

The winery, located in Stellenbosch , has earned an international reputation for high-quality wines with excellent ageing potential. Its harmonious blends of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot.

are particularly characteristic. Deeply rooted in tradition and terroir-driven viticulture, Kanonkop produces wines that reflect the unique character of their origin. Wine lovers appreciate the consistency and distinctive style that make Kanonkop a fixture in the wine world.
