Babylonstoren

The historic Babylonstoren Winery in the picturesque Franschhoek wine region has been 1692 a testament to Cape Dutch heritage. Famous for its eight hectares of gardens and its "farm-to-table" philosophy, it offers visitors an immersive experience combining wine, cuisine and garden design.

On the sunny slopes of the Simonsberg, where the Mediterranean climate creates ideal conditions, grapes thrive for Babylonstoren's diverse wines. A prime example is the [Chardonnay](/collections/rebsorte-chardonnay) known as Nebukadnezar, named after the Babylonian king.

Alongside fine wines like this one, Babylonstoren offers luxurious accommodation and a wide range of homegrown products, such as meat, cheese and oil, perfectly rounding out the estate's extensive offering.
