Old vines don’t lie: this Chenin Blanc from Bellingham immediately shows just how much depth and concentration South Africa can bring to the glass. Ripe quince, white peach and meadow herbs meet a fine, cool minerality on the nose.

On the palate, the wine delivers juicy freshness and a dense, creamy texture. Its lively acidity perfectly balances the richness, leading into a long, lingering, salty and spicy finish.

Serve it chilled at eight degrees when you’re in the mood for a white wine with real substance. It shines on its own and pairs beautifully with pan-fried zander on creamy lentils or white meat.

Drinking window: until 2035
