Tasting Note

The Vergelegen Mill Race is a classic Bordeaux blend that impresses with elegance and character. Intense aromas of dark berries, such as blackcurrants and plums, unfold on the nose, accompanied by fine notes of cedarwood, violets and a hint of dried herbs.

On the palate, the wine shows medium body and a perfect balance of fruit, structure and freshness. The ripe tannins provide backbone, while aromas of dark Chocolate, mocha and a hint of liquorice give the wine depth and refinement.

The finish is long, soft and juicy, with subtle spice and lovely fruit persistence. The Mill Race is an expressive red wine that is already a pleasure to drink, but also has good cellaring potential.
