Leopards Leap Family Vineyards
Winery Leopard's Leap in the sun-drenched Franschhoek wine region is known for its approachable quality wines and family-friendly atmosphere. The estate combines winemaking with food, and places great importance on sustainability to preserve the natural beauty of the Cape province.
As the namesake and symbol, the critically endangered Cape leopard is featured, and its protection is actively supported. The philosophy of promoting a “worthy life” is reflected in the quality of the wines.
The main grape varieties are the fresh Chenin Blanc from South Africa and the characteristic Pinotage from South Africa.
Translation missing: en.Tasting notes
The Leopard's Leap Brut Culinaria MCC presents itself with a shimmering color and a subtle pink undertone. On the nose, it unfolds elegant aromas of yellow stone fruit, juicy apples, citrus fruits, and exotic fruits, complemented by fine hints of butter toast and white pepper. On the palate, it shows a delicate perlage with notes of red berries, dried cranberries, as well as nuances of caramel, toast, and nougat. The balanced harmony between fruity freshness and pleasant acidity leads to an elegant finish.

Chenin Blanc
Chenin Blanc is a versatile grape variety known for its remarkable range of styles. It typically presents a lively to pronounced acidity structure, accompanied by aromas of green apple, quince, cantaloupe and often wet stones or wool . Depending on the ageing process, notes of honey, marzipan or dried fruit may also emerge. In the glass, it usually ranges from pale yellow to deep gold.
The grape variety is particularly associated with the Loire in France, where it is made in styles ranging from bone-dry and off-dry to lusciously sweet. Chenin Blanc is also highly significant in South Africa , where it often produces fuller-bodied, sometimes barrel-aged wines.
These wines are excellent food pairings, especially with poultry, fish dishes or dishes with creamy sauces.
