Grande Provence
The Winery Grande Provence in the picturesque wine region of Franschhoek uniquely combines traditional winemaking with modern art. Known for its outstanding wines, the estate showcases an impressive art collection that harmonises with the natural beauty of its surroundings. Visitors can not only sample exceptional wines here, but also admire contemporary works of art.
The combination of wine, art and cuisine makes Grande Provence a special experience. An award-winning restaurant and an elegant manor house complete the offering, making the estate a true gem in the heart of Franschhoek. The winery excels particularly with grape varieties such as South African Sauvignon Blanc and South African Chenin Blanc, which regularly receive high ratings.
The passion for the highest quality can be felt in every wine and reflects the dedication of the entire team.
Tasting Note
The Grande Provence Cabernet Sauvignon from Grande Provence is a powerful and complex red wine that impresses with its layered array of aromas.
The nose reveals notes of cigar box, cherry tobacco and cedarwood, layered with blackcurrant, roasted strawberries and bright red cherries.
On the palate, the wine opens smoothly and gently, with oak seamlessly integrated. The flavours echo those found on the nose, supported by supple, polished tannins that linger like a first kiss.
