Tasting Note
A deep, dark ruby red in the glass. The nose is complex and layered, with aromas of Blackberry, black cherry and raspberry, complemented by notes of cocoa, liquorice and delicate spice. Ageing in French oak gives the wine added depth and an elegant, slightly smoky note. Soft and harmoniously structured on the palate, with a lovely balance of fruit, spice and savoury, slightly meaty notes. The tannins are present but finely integrated, lending a smooth texture. The combination of dark fruit and spicy nuances gives the wine complexity and character. The finish is long and elegant, with spicy, slightly savoury notes and lingering dark fruit.
