Holden Manz Wine Estate
The Holden Manz Winery in the picturesque Franschhoek wine region is known for its outstanding red wine blends and elegant varietal wines. Nestled in South Africa’s breathtaking landscape, it benefits from a unique terroir shaped by its altitude and soil composition.
The estate’s vineyards are planted primarily with classic grape varieties such as Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah But wines made from Chardonnay and Chenin Blanc are also known for their quality.
The winery focuses on sustainable farming and gentle handling of the grapes. Its wines, including special selections such as Holden Manz Visionaire, are often praised for their structure, complexity and ageing potential.
Tasting Note
The Vernissage from Holden Manz pours a brilliant ruby red into the glass. The aroma of red and black berries, underscored by a hint of spice, rises from the glass.
Hints of dark cherries and plums also come through, while the palate reveals pronounced flavours of blackcurrant, spice and tobacco.
Its ripe yet soft tannins and well-balanced acidity make Holden Manz Vernissage 2019 an elegant wine with a velvety finish that lingers.
