La Providence — Shiraz Rosé Magnum 2026
Couldn't load pickup availability
From a single vineyard in the Franschhoek Valley, La Providence brings Provençal elegance to the glass with this Shiraz Rosé in magnum format. The warm, dry 2026 vintage, with its cool nights, gives the early-morning-harvested grapes a precise balance of ripe fruit and freshness. Its delicate copper hue, reminiscent of an Eaux de Perdrix, immediately reveals the wine’s cool, linear character. Intense raspberries and fresh strawberries meet a subtle hint of yellow melon on the nose. Thanks to the short maceration and gentle whole-bunch pressing under dry ice, it reveals exceptionally clear, juicy aromatics of striking purity. On the palate, the Shiraz is bone-dry, with 1.2 grams of residual sugar, while six months of Aged in stainless steel on the gross lees with bâtonnage create a creamy texture without tannic bitterness. The 13.0% alcohol and 5.2 grams of acidity carry its vibrant acidity into a refreshingly long finish.

Shiraz
Shiraz, also known internationally as Syrah, is a dark grape varietythat produces powerful and spicy, fruity red wines In the glass, Shiraz wines often display a deep, dark colour and show pronounced structure on the palate. Typical aromas range from dark berries such as Blackberry and black cherry to pepper, cloves, smoke and notes of leather or Chocolate.
The wines are often distinguished by firm tannins and moderate to good acidity, giving them excellent ageing potential. Their style varies by origin: while the New World (Australia, South Africa) often tends towards more opulent, fruit-forward expressions, wines from the Northern Rhône (France) are usually more elegant and peppery.
Shiraz is a versatile partner for robust dishes such as grilled meats, game or spicy stews.
