The Grande Provence The Grande Provence Red is a full-bodied, perfectly balanced red wine from the renowned Grande Provence Winery in South Africa. This wine is a modern interpretation of a classic Bordeaux and impresses with its harmonious, multilayered composition.
The The Grande Provence Red is made from a carefully blended cuvée of hand-picked grapes. Its deep ruby-red colour hints at the intensity of its aromas. The nose reveals a complex bouquet of notes of cedarwood, cherry tobacco and cigar box, underpinned by fruity nuances of blackcurrant, roasted strawberries, bright cherries and raspberries.
Blend
Merlot (60%), Cabernet Sauvignon (29%), Malbec (11%)

Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec
This cuvée brings together dark fruit, richness and a firm tannic backbone. Merlot and Malbec can create a rounded, juicy core with notes of plum and blackberry; Malbec often also contributes to depth of color and body . Cabernet Sauvignon usually adds cassis, herbal spice, as well as structure and acidity, giving the fruit definition and freshness. How soft or grippy the tannins feel also depends on ripeness and aging.
In the glass, the cuvée typically appears deep ruby to purple. The grape varieties are widely grown in Bordeaux and Argentina , among other places, but their combination does not indicate a specific origin. Stylistically, it ranges from fruit-forward and smooth to powerful and firm; aging in oak can add toasted and spicy notes. It pairs well with roasted meat, braised vegetables or aged cheese.
