Translation missing: en.Tasting notes
The Nicolas from Winery Boschendal is a blend full of character, in which all components together create something extraordinary.
On the nose there are red cherries, fresh plums and mulberries, complemented by dark Chocolate and spicy cigar box-aromas.
The complex and lush notes follow on the palate and underscore the quality. A lively wine with soft tannins, excellent length and timeless elegance.

Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec, Shiraz, Cabernet Franc
This cuvée combines dark fruit with structure and spice. Merlot and Malbec can contribute plum and berry aromas as well as a supple body; Malbec and Shiraz often support depth of colour. Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc usually provide the blend with tannic structure and freshness, accompanied by cassis and delicate herbal notes. Shiraz often adds peppery spice and richness.
In the glass, the cuvée typically shows a deep ruby-red to purple colour. Depending on its location, ripeness and Aged, its style ranges from juicy and approachable to bold and tannic. Such internationally influenced combinations can be found, for example, in Australia or South Africa; however, the blend alone does not indicate a clearly defined classic origin.
The combination of fruit, acidity and tannins pairs well with grilled meat, hearty vegetable dishes or matured cheese.
