Kleinood is located in the Blaauwklippen Valley near Stellenbosch and stands for an uncompromising approach to quality on a small scale. The name means "something small and precious" — and that precisely describes the philosophy of the Winery.

On roughly ten hectares of vineyard area, work is deliberately carried out in small parcels. Each site is managed individually, harvested separately and vinified to precisely bring out its respective character. In the cellar Kleinood relies on gentle handling and minimal intervention to preserve the grapes' natural balance.

The focus is primarily on Syrah, which is vinified under the Tamboerskloof label. The wines are characterized by elegance, depth and a clear sense of origin.

The Winery is complemented by the in-house "de Boerin" line with products such as olive oil, honey and verjuice, which — like the wines — are produced directly on the estate and reflect the same artisanal standards.

Kleinood is thus an intentionally small-scale operation entirely focused on quality, precision and authenticity.
