The Grand Classique 2023 from the Winery Glen Carlou is a stunning wine, with complete balance and refined elegance.
A hint of paprika blends with Chocolate and sweet berry nuances. Lively red fruits combined with plum and vanilla undertones and a touch of tobacco leaves.
The palate is full of dark fruits and Peppermint Chocolate, with soft tannins and a velvety finish.

Petit Verdot, Merlot, Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc
This cuvée combines dark fruit, spice and supporting structure. Merlot and Malbec often contribute plum and berry notes along with a round, full-bodied texture. Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot primarily provide the blend with tannin and density; Malbec and Petit Verdot can intensify its deep colour. Cabernet Franc often adds herbal freshness and finer red fruit, while Petit Verdot can contribute additional acidity and spicy accents. The result brings together softer fruit richness and a firm framework.
The varieties are rooted, among other places, in Bordeaux and are also widely grown in international wine regions, including Argentina, Chile and California. The combination alone does not indicate a specific origin. In the glass, the cuvée usually appears deep ruby-red to violet. Depending on the climate and Aged, the style ranges from fruit-forward and approachable to powerful and tannin-driven. It pairs well with roast meat or hearty vegetable dishes.
