Tasting Note

Der Arenite Syrah vom Stellenzicht Winery is an outstanding wine grown in the winery's rocky soils. Rooted in history and the earth, this wine strikingly reflects the terroir of its origins. Made from the same original Syrah clone as its celebrated predecessor, Stellenzicht Syrah Arenit delights with rich layers of dark berry fruit, subtle spice notes and finely structured tannins. Every sip reveals the depth and complexity shaped by the region's unique Arenite sandstone soils and ideal climate.

Shiraz grape variety

Depending on the wine's origin and how it is made at the winery, grapes of the Syrah or Shiraz variety produce two distinct styles. They differ significantly in both aroma and taste.

Die Shiraz wines have a very full-bodied, fruit-forward flavour, with aromas of cherries and plums. Aromas of dark Chocolate are also typical of Shiraz wines.

Die Syrah wines have a comparatively lighter and more elegant character. Syrah wines are also distinguished by their spicy flavour. Syrah wines often feature subtle oak notes and typical aromas such as cloves, cinnamon, pepper, forest floor or leather.

Both wine styles are distinguished by complex aromas and a vibrant character.
