The Kano

Te Kano Estate is a family-run winery in Central Otago, New Zealand, founded by Rhonda and Keith Lloyd. The name Te Kano, which means “the seed” in Māori, reflects the founders’ commitment to future generations. The winery is dedicated to regenerating land historically shaped by gold mining.

The philosophy of Te Kano Winery centres on sustainability and creating wines that reflect the region’s unique terroir. Te Kano is dedicated to caring for its vineyards and the surrounding natural environment. The focus is on the grape varieties Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, grown across the winery’s different sites, including Bannockburn and Northburn . Also discover the South African Pinot Noir.
