Sauvignon Blanc is a widely cultivated and popular international white grape variety. In the glass, it usually presents a pale yellow colour with greenish reflections. Its characteristic aromas are intense and fresh, with notes of gooseberry, grass, green apple, sometimes also lime and passion fruit. Often accompanied by a mineral note.

This grape variety is characterised by a lively, often crisp acidity that gives the wine freshness and length. The wines are generally made in a dry style and display a lean to medium-bodied structure, without noticeable tannins. They are known for their distinctive and unmistakable character.

Originally from the Loire Valley in France, Sauvignon Blanc is now cultivated in many wine regions around the world, including New Zealand, Bordeaux, South Africa and Chile. It pairs excellently with salads, fish dishes and seafood.
