Discover the Durbanville Hills Collectors Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon – a captivating red wine of unparalleled sophistication. The nose is caressed by enticing aromas of spices, Chocolate and a hint of mint. Made from the native South African Cabernet Sauvignon grape and aged in French barrique for 14 months, this wine presents itself as a masterpiece of spice and complexity.

100% Cabernet Sauvignon
Cabernet Sauvignon usually produces full-bodied red wines with clear structure and pronounced tannin. Typical aromas include blackcurrant, dark cherry and Blackberry, often accompanied by herbal or slightly bell pepper-like notes. Prominent acidity gives the dense fruit profile definition. In the glass, the grape variety usually shows a deep ruby-red colour, often with violet hues in its youth. With age, notes of tobacco and cedarwood may develop.
Its historic home is Bordeaux; important growing regions are also found in California, Chile, Australia and South Africa. Cooler sites often produce a tauter, more herbaceous style, while warmer regions tend to yield riper fruit and greater richness. Depending on how they are aged, the result can be fruit-forward or oak-influenced wines with different tannin textures. They pair well with hearty meat dishes, braised vegetables and aged cheese.
