The Rosé 2025 from the Winery De Grendel is characterized on the nose by its intense strawberry aromas.
On the palate, exotic aromas of watermelon and cantaloupe bring a smile to every rosé lover's face. The very light acidity of the De Grendel Rosé emphasizes the unique fruitiness of this wine.
Chilled, this rosé is the perfect companion for warm summer evenings.

Pinotage and Cabernet Sauvignon
This cuvée combines the juicy fruit of Pinotage, often reminiscent of plums and dark berries with cassis and spicy herbal notes of Cabernet Sauvignon. Pinotage contributes fullness, body and sometimes smoky nuances; Cabernet Sauvignon generally adds more pronounced acidity and a firm tannic structure. This creates a full-bodied, structured red winewhose abundant fruit gains definition from freshness and tannins. Both varieties provide substance, while the acidity and tannin structure of Cabernet Sauvignon in particular supports ageing potential.
This combination is typical of South Africa, especially Stellenbosch and Paarl. In the glass, it usually appears deep ruby-red to purple. Depending on its origin and ageing, the style ranges from fruit-driven and approachable to dense, spicy and age-worthy; oak ageing can add further roasted aromas and silkier tannins. It pairs well with quickly seared or braised meat, as well as hearty vegetable dishes.
