Peter Falke Wines

Peter Falke Winery, based in Stellenbosch, South Africa, is a renowned boutique winery known for its elegant creations. Its vineyards stretch across the foothills of the Helderberg Mountains and benefit from a unique terroir and cool breezes that allow the grapes to ripen optimally. The winery places great emphasis on sustainable viticulture and combines traditional methods with modern technology to produce wines of exceptional quality.

Highlights include the Peter Falke Cabernet Sauvignon – the flagship grape variety of the estate – and the South African Sauvignon Blanc, which impressively reflect the potential of the Stellenbosch wine region . The South African Cabernet Sauvignon embodies the expertise and passion with which Peter Falke creates its wines.

Alongside these classics, other grape varieties such as South African Chardonnay and South African Cabernet Franc are also part of the portfolio. Peter Falke Wines is known not only for its wines, but also for its striking architecture and art exhibitions, which make the winery a cultural attraction.

Depending on the wine's origin and how it is made at the winery, the Syrah or Shiraz grape variety produces two distinct styles. They differ considerably in both aroma and flavour.

Shiraz wines have a very full-bodied, fruit-forward flavour, with aromas of cherries and plums. Aromas of dark Chocolate are also typical of Shiraz wines.

Compared to Shiraz, Syrah wines tend to be leaner and more elegant. Syrah wines are also characterised by a spicy flavour. They often show subtle oak notes and typical aromas such as cloves, cinnamon, pepper, forest floor or leather.

Both wine styles are characterised by complex aromas and a vibrant character.
