A complex and expressive Chardonnay with aromas of lemon cream and ripe stone fruit. On the palate, it is creamy yet vibrant, with crisp acidity leading to a long, elegant finish. The balance of fruit, oak and freshness lends it depth and finesse. Vintage: Record winter rainfall ahead of harvest replenished water reserves before the season. A dry spring and summer kept disease pressure low, while cooler ripening conditions throughout harvest allowed for slow, even ripening. The result was fruit with excellent natural acidity, purity and concentration. Winemaking: The grapes were pressed as 100% whole bunches, followed by a short settling period in tank. The juice was then transferred to a combination of Austrian and French oak barrels and aged for 10 months. Viticulture: The Chardonnay vines come from an immaculate vineyard and are carefully trained using the double Guyot pruning system to optimise canopy management and fruit exposure. Every row is netted to protect the harvest from bird damage and ensure only the highest-quality grapes reach the cellar. The health and uniformity of the vineyard were exceptional, producing grapes of outstanding quality.
