Avontuur Estate is picturesquely situated on the slopes of the Helderberg mountain in Stellenbosch, overlooking False Bay. This privileged location provides a cool climate that gives the wines a special elegance and freshness. The estate is known not only for its excellent wines but also for its world-renowned thoroughbred stud farm. This unique combination of 'Fine Wines and Fast Horses' shapes the character and philosophy of Avontuur. The mineral-rich soils and meticulous vineyard management form the basis for wines of outstanding quality and complexity.

Wine Ranges in Our Selection

Our selection from Avontuur offers an impressive variety. Among the white wines, you'll find the crisp Borrowdale Sauvignon Blanc and the elegant Chardonnays Luna de Miel and Disa Gorge. For red wine lovers, there's the spicy Stone Field Syrah and the powerful The West Peak Cabernet Sauvignon. A special highlight is the Bordeaux blend 'The Taberer,' a flagship wine of the estate. The Val de Ra Red Blend completes the red wine portfolio. Not to be forgotten are the refreshing Marydown Rosé and the festive MCC Brut, a sparkling wine made using the traditional method.
