Leopards Leap Family Vineyards
Winery Leopard's Leap in the sun-drenched Franschhoek wine region is known for its approachable quality wines and family-friendly atmosphere. The estate combines winemaking with food, and places great importance on sustainability to preserve the natural beauty of the Cape province.
As the namesake and symbol, the critically endangered Cape leopard is featured, and its protection is actively supported. The philosophy of promoting a “worthy life” is reflected in the quality of the wines.
The main grape varieties are the fresh Chenin Blanc from South Africa and the characteristic Pinotage from South Africa.

The Leopard's Leap Culinaria Pinot Noir Chardonnay presents a distinct structure with an inviting color. In the nose, prominent aromas of pomegranate and fresh red berries unfold, accompanied by a lingering citrus finish. This cuvée combines the characteristics of red and white grapes and is therefore particularly versatile in food pairing.

Chardonnay & Pinot Noir
The cuvée of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir combines freshness with substance and is particularly well established as a sparkling wine . Chardonnay often contributes citrus and apple notes, lively acidity and a slender profile; Pinot Noir adds body, structure and sometimes delicate red fruit. Together, they create a balanced yet taut and full-bodied style. The acidity and substance support its ageing potential; extended lees ageing can add brioche and toasted notes.
This combination is classic in Champagne, and is also found in high-quality sparkling wines from other cool regions, such as England. With light pressing, the cuvée is usually pale yellow to golden yellow, and delicate pink as a rosé. Despite its dark berry skins, Pinot Noir contributes hardly any perceptible tanninwhen handled gently. The perlage accentuates freshness and texture; depending on the Aged, the wine may feel linear or creamy. It pairs well with fish, white meat and mild vegetable dishes.
