Durbanville Hills Tangram Red is a South African red wine produced by the Durbanville Hills Winery. It is a cuvée made from various grape varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Shiraz, Malbec and Petit Verdot. The wine is characterized by a complex aroma profile including dark fruits, spices and a pleasant wood note.

Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Malbec, Petit Verdot
This cuvée combines dark fruit, freshness and a supportive tannin structure. Merlot and Malbec often contribute juicy plum and berry aromas, fullness and a rounded fruit profile. Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot primarily provide structure, colour and spice; their tannins can lend the blend definition and length. Cabernet Franc often adds red fruit, herbal notes and freshness, while Petit Verdot can also support the acidity.
In the glass, the cuvée usually appears deep ruby-red to purple. Stylistic reference points include Bordeaux as well as international growing regions such as Argentina, Chile and California, although the combination of varieties does not determine a specific origin. Depending on the climate, ripeness and Aged, the style ranges from fresh and straightforward to full-bodied and soft; oak can add toasted and spicy notes. It pairs well with roast meat, mushroom dishes or mature cheese.
