Rosé - What exactly is rosé?

Rosé is not made from a mixture of white wine and red wine, as is often mistakenly assumed. rosé wine is made from red wine grapes. Care is taken to ensure that the grape juice obtained only has contact (skin contact) with the grape skin for a few hours. The color and taste of the wine can be determined by the duration of skin contact.

Bleeding Method: At this very common Rosé Production method, the harvested grapes are placed in a tank and left to rest for a period of 2 hours to 24 hours. Over time, the skins of the grapes will burst due to their own weight. The grape juice comes into contact with the skin of the skin and turns pink.
Mazerations-Methode: In the commonly used maceration method, the red wine grapes are left to rest in the grape juice for a while before they are separated. Subsequently, the grape juice further becomes a Rosé processed. The Rosé gains a more complex flavor than other methods.
